Clydesdale

Central valley of the River Clyde in South Lanarkshire unitary authority, Scotland. Traditional industries are coalmining and metalworking, and numerous orchards are cultivated around Larkhall and Lanark. The area has given its name to a breed of heavy cart-horses.
