Coalville

Town in Leicestershire, England, 8 km/5 mi southeast of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and 19 km/12 mi northwest of Leicester; population (2001) 4,500. This was once a coalmining area; bricks and tiles are manufactured here. The Cistercian abbey of Mount St Bernard is nearby in Charnwood Forest.
