Codman, Ogden (1863–1951)

US interior designer. Edith Wharton hired him to decorate her house in Newport. Together they wrote the influential Decoration of Houses (1897), which promoted simplicity and suitability. His work on other Newport mansions was characterized by 18th-century French style.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He spent his youth in France.
