Coe, Michael D (Douglas) (1929- )

US anthropologist and educator He joined the faculty at Yale in 1960. Author of numerous studies on pre-Columbian Mexico and CentralAmerica, including the Atlas of Ancient America (1986).

He was born in New York City. He earned a Harvard PhD. He was advisor to the Robert Woods Bliss Collection of Pre-Columbian Art at Dumbarton Oaks 1963-80.
