In psychology, a general term covering the functions involved in synthesizing information – for example, perception (seeing, hearing, and so on), attention, memory, and reasoning.

Short for "Trust Touch," TTouch is a learning and healing modality that uses circular movements of the skin to enhance well-being, improve cognitive function, and release tension.
The database, originally collected for diet and health studies, provided a measure of cognitive function for each volunteer and information on, among other things, ethnicity and curry consumption.
A study funded by the National MS Society's Initiative on Gender Differences in MS showed that applying AndroGel (a testosterone gel) to the skin of 10 men with relapsing-remitting MS for one year improved cognitive function and slowed brain tissue loss.
