| Bladder retraining programs are effective but require the resident to have cognitive processing ability, along with the ability to discern urge sensation and to toilet independently or with assistance. The results of this study show that collaborative testing alone has a significant positive association with test performance that varies by the level of cognitive processing reflected in the test question. He pointed out that when people are not under high levels of stress, they have the ability to calmly engage in the conscious, deliberative, and analytical cognitive processing that characterizes rational thinking. |
