Coleford

Market town in west Gloucestershire, England, 12 km/7 mi northwest of Lydney; population (2001) 10,400. It was once a mining district in the Forest of Dean. The town hall was built in 1662.

The Speech House, now a hotel, still holds the Verderers' Court, where the ‘Verderers’, an ancient body responsible for forestry and unenclosed land, meet ‘commoners’ to discuss local land issues.

Police spokeswoman Hazel Wills said: "A 30 year-old man and a 27 year-old woman from Coleford were arrested on Friday February 6 following the death of a 14 month-old baby girl on January 12, 2009.
30pm incident at Berry Hill primary, near Coleford, Glos, on Tuesday.
Since Lionel died, she has been to Tenerife, Malaysia and Cuba, too, with three other widows of Coleford.
