Coleman, Cy (born Seymour Kaufman) (1929- )

US composer. He wrote hit songs and scores for several landmark Broadway musicals including Sweet Charity (1966) and Barnum (1980). He worked with Carolyn Leigh, Bob Fosse and Neil Simon. In the 1980s he wrote film scores and the hit Broadway musical Welcome to the Club (1989).

He was born in New York City.
