Collard, Jean-Philippe (1948- )

French pianist. He studied at the Paris Conservatory 1959-64, and has appeared worldwide in 19th-century repertory and Ravel. He made his US debut in concerts with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and returned with New York Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Philadelphia Orchestra (1992-93). He has appeared with all major UK orchestras and played Rakhmaninov's 1st at the 1993 London Promenade concerts.
