Columbiana County

County in eastern Ohio, USA; area 1,383 sq km/534 sq mi; population (1990) 108,300. The county is bounded by Pennsylvania (to the east) and by the Ohio River at the West Virginia state line (to the southeast). It is intersected by the Little Beaver River. Its seat is Lisbon. The county is largely agricultural (dairy, fruit, grain, market-garden crops, and livestock); coal and clay are also exploited. There is some manufacturing at East Liverpool, East Palestine, Salem, and Wellsville.
