Columella, Lucius Junius Moderatus (lived 1st century AD)

Latin writer. Columella was born in Gades (Cádiz) in Spain. Two of his works survive: De re rustica/On Country Matters, a treatise on agriculture which influenced many subsequent writers in this field, and De arboribus/About Trees.
