Combermere, Stapleton Cotton, 6th Baronet and 1st Viscount Combermere (1772–1865)

English field marshal. He commanded the cavalry division in the Peninsular War, and served in India in 1799 in the campaign against Tipu Sultan and again in 1826, when he besieged and took the fort of Bharatpur during the Jat war of succession.
