Condé, Louis Joseph de Bourbon, 8th Prince of Condé (1736-1818)

French soldier, son of the 7th Prince of Condé. He commanded the Royalist ‘army of Condé’ in the French Revolutionary Wars, joining the Austrians until the Treaty of Campo-Formio in 1797. In 1800 he settled in England, but returned to France on the restoration of Louis XVIII.
