Condado

Oceanfront section of San Juan, Puerto Rico, on the southern Laguna de Condado and the Atlantic, it is asubbarrio of Santurce; population (1990) 5,600. Its luxury hotels stretch along the Avenida Ashford, extending into Ocean Park (another subbarrio; population (1990) 2,000), on the southeast.

The area is noted for its tourist trade and night life. It is popular with the gay community, especially in Ocean Park.
