Confederation of British Industry

UK organization of employers, established in 1965, combining the former Federation of British Industries (founded in 1916), British Employers' Confederation, and National Association of British Manufacturers. It acts as a pressure group for businesses, promoting their interests to government, overseas, and to workers.
