Confindustria

In European history, a general confederation of industry established in Italy 1920 with the aim of countering working-class agitation. It contributed large funds to the fascist movement, which, in turn, used its squadristi against the workers. After Mussolini's takeover of power in 1922, Confindustria became one of the major groups of the fascist corporative state.
