Conner, Fox

Conner, Fox (1874-1951)

US soldier. He served in a series of staff positions in a long career, including assistant chief of staff for operations, American Expeditionary Force, in France in 1917. A writer on military subjects, he achieved a reputation as a thoughtful student of the military problems of his time.

He was born in Slate Springs, Mississippi, and graduated from West Point in 1898.
