Conover, Harry (Sayles) (1911–1965)

US modelling agency founder. He established a New York modelling agency in 1939. The fresh-faced beauty of ‘Conover Cover Girls’ (a term he invented) graced leading magazines until a financial scandal closed his business in 1959.

He was born in Chicago. He was a radio performer and model throughout the 1930s.
