Conradi, Johann Georg (died 1699)

German composer. He was one of the earliest composers of German operas, which include Die schoene und getreue Ariadne (1691), Diogenes Cynicus, Numa Pompilius, Der tapffere Kayser Carolus Magnus (1692), Der Verstöhrung Jerusalem, and Der wunderbar-vergnügte Pygmalion. He also wrote sacred music, and was music director at Ansbach 1683–86 and director of the Hamburg opera 1690–93.
