Constantia

Prosperous suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, renowned for its old wine farms. The oldest and most famous is Groot Constantia, established in 1684 by Simon van der Stel. It is now a government-owned experimental wine farm.

Constantia wine was very popular in Europe during the 18th century.
