Coolbrith, Ina Donna (1847–1928)

US poet. Much of her poetry is coloured by her experience of life in the mining districts of California. Her publications include A Perfect Day and other Poems (1881), The Singer of the Sea (1894), and Songs from the Golden Gate (1895).

The title of ‘poet laureate of California’ was conferred on her by the governor and legislature in 1895.
