Coppell

City in Dallas and Denton Counties, northeastern Texas, USA, on Grapevine and Denton creeks and the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, 26 km/16 mi northwest of downtown Dallas; population (1990) 16,900. On the northeastern edge of Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport, it is a growing residential suburb.
