    0.02 sec.

Coquelin, Benoît-Constant (1841–1909)

French actor. He made his debut in 1860 at the Comédie Française, Paris, where he remained until 1886, proving himself inimitable in Molière's great comic parts. In 1890 he appeared with the tragedy actor Sarah Bernhardt at the Théâtre de la Renaissance. At the Porte-Saint-Martin in 1897, he created the role of Cyrano de Bergerac in Edmond Rostand's poetic play.

His brother Ernest Coquelin (Coquelin cadet) (1848–1909) was also an actor with the Comédie Française.
