Corba

In computing, agreed specification that enables software components or ‘objects’ from different suppliers running on different computers using different operating systems to interoperate with one another. Corba has been extended via the Internet Inter-Orb Protocol (IIOP) to work over the Internet. Corba is promulgated as a standard by the Object Management Group (OMG).
