Corbulo, Gnaeus Domitius (died c. AD 67)

Roman general under the emperors Claudius and Nero. He led a successful expedition against the Germanic Frisii and won outstanding victories in a series of campaigns against the Parthians 58–63. Four years later he was summoned to Greece and was forced to commit suicide by Nero who suspected him of conspiracy.
