Cordele

City in south-central Georgia, USA, 51 km/32 mi northeast of Albany; seat of Crisp County; population (2000) 11,600. Cordele has cotton mills and sawmills. The region is noted for its peanut and watermelon production.

The city was founded in 1888 at the junction of two railroad lines.
