Cordier, Baude

    0.14 sec.

Cordier, Baude (lived 1400 or shortly before)

French composer. Recent research makes it seem likely that he was the harpist Baude Fresnel (died 1397/98), who was employed at the court of Philip the Bold from 1384. Of his ten surviving chansons two are particularly famous because of their notation: ‘Belle, bonne’, written out in the form of a heart; and ‘Tout par compas’, written down in a circle.
