Cordiner, Ralph Jarron

Cordiner, Ralph Jarron (1900–1973)

US corporate executive. He spent virtually his entire career at General Electric, where variously president, chairman of the board, and CEO 1950–63, he implemented an innovative and widely copied decentralized management structure.

He was born near Walla Walla, Washington. He explained his management ideas in New Frontiers for Professional Managers (1956).
