US composer. He studied in Paris, France, with Olivier Messiaen and in New York, USA, with Otto Luening and Henry Cowell, and taught at Rutgers University from 1972. His works show the influence of John Cage, minimalism, and Asian music.

This Is It ... This Time for orchestra (1959); ensemble works, including Composition With or Without Beverly (1962).
