Work by Edard Elgar in six sections for soloists, chorus, and orchestra, Op. 44; it was composed 1901-02 and first performed in Sheffield, England, on 2 October 1902. The finale is ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, based on the tune from his Pomp and Circumstance march no. 1.
