Coronea

Ancient town in Boeotia, central Greece. It was the site of a battle in which the Boeotians defeated the Athenians 447 BC. Here also the Spartan king Agesilaus II overwhelmed the combined forces of Thebes, Athens, Argos, and Corinth 394 BC.
