Corsham

Town in Wiltshire, England, 6 km/4 mi southwest of Chippenham; population (2001) 4,600. It has an ancient church, almshouses, and extensive quarries of Bath stone. Corsham Court, the seat of Lord Methuen, was built in 1582 and altered by Capability Brown in 1760–65; part of the mansion now houses the Bath Academy of Art.
