Cortlandt

Town in extreme northern Westchester County, southeastern New York, USA, on the east bank of the Hudson River, 56 km/35 mi north of New York City; population (1990) 37,400. Largely residential, it contains the town of Croton-on-Hudson. The city of Peekskill is also within its borders.
