Cossutta, Carlo (1932– )

Italian tenor. He sang small roles in Buenos Aires from 1956 before premiering Ginastera's Don Rodrigo in 1964; he made his debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London in the same year, as the Duke of Mantua. His other roles in London have included Otello, Manrico, Gabriele Adorno, and Don Carlos. He sang Pollione at the New York Metropolitan Opera House in 1973 and Radames in Moscow with the La Scala Company on tour in 1974.
