US extreme right-wing organization for formulating strategy, training political activists, and raising funds, founded 1981.

Despite having tax-free status, it is run like an exclusive networking club, and holds its meetings in secret.

Its president 1994 was Edwin Meese III, former US attorney-general; the executive committee included Oliver North.
