Coupar Angus

Town and former burgh in Perth and Kinross unitary authority, Scotland, near the River Isla, 20 km/13 mi northeast of Perth; population (2001) 2,200. Sawmills, a chicken processing factory, and the manufacture of agricultural implements provide local employment.

The remains of a Roman camp and a Cistercian abbey founded in 1164 by Malcolm IV are situated nearby.
