Court of Arches

In the UK, ecclesiastical court of the archbishop of Canterbury, so called because it was originally held at the church of St Mary of the Arches, now St Mary-le-Bow. It has power to deal with suits sent up from the consistory courts of the province of Canterbury. The presiding judge is the dean of the Arches.
