Cousins, Norman (born c. 1915)

US editor, humanitarian and author. He was active in promoting various educational, humanitarian, and world-peace initiatives.

He was born in Union Hill, New Jersey. As editor of the Saturday Review of Literature (later simply Saturday Review) (1942–71, 1973–77), he broadened its scope to include all the arts and many social concerns, thus expanding its audience. He took up the cause of holistic health, even teaching at the medical school of the University of California.
