Coveri, Enrico

    0.03 sec.

Coveri, Enrico (1952–1990)

Italian fashion designer. He set up his own business 1979. A bold designer of young, fun-loving clothes, he was best known for knitted tops and trousers in strong colours, and for incorporating comic characters and pop art into his designs.

Coveri was born in Florence and studied at its Accademia delle Belle Arti. He started working freelance for several companies, creating knitwear and sportswear under the Touche label, in 1973, and five years later moved to Paris to work at the Espace Cardin. By the time of his death, his own business had achieved a turnover of £100 million.
