Craigavon

Administrative region in the centre of Northern Ireland, serving an area in the north of County Armagh; area 282 sq km/109 sq mi; population (2001) 80,700. It is located on the Belfast-Dublin economic corridor. The towns under the council's remit include Craigavon, Portadown, and Lurgan. The principal sources of employment include engineering, the food industry, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals.
