Cranberry Isles

Island group and town in Hancock County, southeastern Maine, USA; population (1990) 196. The Cranberry Isles (including Little Cranberry, Great Cranberry, Sutton, Baker, and Bear islands) are in the Gulf of Maine just southeast of Mount Desert Island. They are nesting grounds for waterfowl and have long been a summer retreat for artists and writers. Little Cranberry includes the village of Islesford. Baker Island is part of Acadia National Park.
