Cranford

Township in Union County, northeastern New Jersey, USA, on the Rahway River, 8 km/5 mi west of Elizabeth; population (1990) 22,600. In a densely populated region, it is a primarily residential suburb. Cranford has many business offices and industries producing such goods as metal products, plastics, and razor blades.

It is the seat of Union County College (1933).

and raised in Gloucester, he was the son of the late Benjamin Wesley and Esther Helen (Menken) Cranford II.
