Crayford

Suburb of Greater London, in the borough of Bexley, on the River Cray, largely industrial in character; population (2001) 10,300.

Crayford is the probable site of a Roman station on Watling Street. In AD 457 Hengist won a victory here over the Britons. The parish church of St Paulinus dates from Norman times.
