Creed, Frederick George (1871-1957)

Canadian inventor who developed the teleprinter. He perfected the Creed telegraphy system (teleprinter), first used in Fleet Street, the headquarters of the British press, 1912 and subsequently, usually under the name Telex, in offices throughout the world.
