Creighton, Mandell (1843–1901)
| English bishop and historian. He was bishop of Peterborough 1891–97, and bishop of London 1897–1901, and professor of ecclesiastical history at Cambridge University 1884–91. His works include a History of the Papacy during the Reformation Period 1881–94, Cardinal Wolsey 1888, and Queen Elizabeth 1896. |
