Creüsa

In Greek mythology, mother of Janus and Ion by Apollo. She abandoned Ion at his birth and married Xuthus; they were told by the Delphic oracle to adopt Ion. Creüsa planned to poison her son, but he found this out and she only escaped death by fleeing to Apollo's altar.
