Cricklade

Market town in Wiltshire, England, on the River Thames, 11 km/7 mi northwest of Swindon; population (2001) 4,700. Employment in the town and surrounding area is mainly agricultural.

Cricklade was situated on the Roman road known as Ermine Street.
