Crittenden County

County in eastern Arkansas, USA; area 1,551 sq km/599 sq mi; population (1990) 49,900. The county is situated in the Delta, between the Mississippi and the St Francis rivers. Its seat is Marion (population (1990) 4,400). It produces corn, soybeans, hay, and hardwood timber. The chief urban centre is West Memphis.
