Cromwell

Town in Middlesex County, southern Connecticut, USA, on the Connecticut River; population (1990) 12,300. Cromwell produces flowers, toys, and hardware.

Settled in 1650, it separated from Middletown (to the south) in 1851.

Cromwell is the seat of Holy Apostles Seminary and College (1956).
