Community in Kanawha County, West Virginia, USA, in the Kanawha Valley between Institute (to the southeast) and Nitro (to the northwest); population (1990) 10,900. Cross Lanes is an industrial suburb of Charleston.

It is home to a technological campus of the National Education Center (1968).
